VELK\u00dd DECHOV\u00dd ORCHESTR M\u011aSTA ZL\u00cdNA byl zalo\u017een v roce 1921 u tehdej\u0161\u00ed firmy Ba\u0165a jako z\u00e1vodn\u00ed orchestr. Jeho prvn\u00edm dirigentem a zakladatelem byl pan Josef Hla\u010f\u00e1\u010dek,\u00a0 b\u00fdval\u00fd osobn\u00ed \u0159idi\u010d Tom\u00e1\u0161e Bati, kter\u00fd hudebn\u00ed vzd\u011bl\u00e1n\u00ed z\u00edskal u vojensk\u00fdch hudeb v Jugosl\u00e1vii. Postupem \u010dasu se u orchestru vyst\u0159\u00eddalo n\u011bkolik v\u00fdznamn\u00fdch dirigent\u016f, nap\u0159. Zd.Chalabala, J.Pej\u0161a, J.Hub, F.Hala, St.Plichta a A.Urbanovsk\u00fd. Od roku 1977\u00a0 byl dirigentem Jaroslav B\u00edl\u00fd<\/a> <\/strong>a v roce 2001 se stal druh\u00fdm dirigentem Svetoslav To\u010dev, kter\u00fd po smrti pana B\u00edl\u00e9ho orchestr diriguje dodnes.<\/p>\n

Kapela m\u00e1 obsazen\u00ed velk\u00e9ho dechov\u00e9ho orchestru. V sou\u010dasn\u00e9m slo\u017een\u00ed hraje 80 muzikant\u016f, 3 zp\u011bva\u010dky a 2 zp\u011bv\u00e1ci. K orchestru pat\u0159\u00ed od roku 1984 i ma\u017eoretkov\u00e1 skupina. Um\u011bleck\u00e1 vedouc\u00ed Dana M\u011bd\u00edlkov\u00e1 nyn\u00ed vede 17 ma\u017eoretek, a d\u00e1le 6 tane\u010dn\u00edch p\u00e1r\u016f. Za dobu sv\u00e9ho trv\u00e1n\u00ed orchestr dos\u00e1hl mnoha v\u00fdznamn\u00fdch \u00fasp\u011bch\u016f, a to zvl\u00e1\u0161t\u011b v posledn\u00edch t\u0159iceti letech. Od roku 1979 pat\u0159\u00ed trvale k p\u0159edn\u00edm orchestr\u016fm v \u010cesk\u00e9 republice.<\/p>\n

Velk\u00fd dechov\u00fd orchestr m\u011bsta Zl\u00edna velmi \u010dasto a velmi \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u011b vystupuje v zahrani\u010d\u00ed. V posledn\u00edch letech pat\u0159\u00ed mezi\u00a0 nej\u010dast\u011bji u\u010dinkuj\u00edc\u00ed \u010desk\u00e9 orchestry v zahrani\u010d\u00ed v\u016fbec. Hudba VDO zn\u011bla v mnoha zem\u00edch Evropy. \u00dasp\u011b\u0161nost koncert\u016f a oblibu moravsk\u00fdch hudebn\u00edk\u016f potvrzuje mno\u017estv\u00ed pozv\u00e1nek k z\u00e1jezd\u016fm, kter\u00e9 ka\u017edoro\u010dn\u011b orchestr dost\u00e1v\u00e1. Dlouholetou vysokou kvalitu p\u0159ednesu dokresluj\u00ed ceny, kter\u00e9 VDO z\u00edskal. V celost\u00e1tn\u00edch sout\u011b\u017e\u00edch \u010cR pat\u0159il v\u017edy mezi nejlep\u0161\u00ed a ocen\u011bn\u00e9 kapely. Zvl\u00e1\u0161t\u011b v\u00fdznamn\u00e9ho \u00fasp\u011bchu dos\u00e1hl na Sv\u011btov\u00e9 sout\u011b\u017ei v roce 1985 v holandsk\u00e9m\u00a0 Kerkrade, kde z\u00edskal dv\u011b 1.ceny – Zlatou medaili v koncertn\u00ed a Zlatou medaili v pochodov\u00e9 sout\u011b\u017ei. Cen\u011bn\u00e1 je i hlavn\u00ed cena – Zlat\u00e1 lyra – z francouzsk\u00e9ho Vichy, d\u00e1le v\u0161echny hlavn\u00ed ceny v Pa\u0159i\u017ei (Epinay sur Seine), v belgick\u00e9m Izegemu, v ma\u010farsk\u00e9m Koszegu, a dal\u0161\u00ed. Orchestr \u00fa\u010dinkuje p\u0159i r\u016fzn\u00fdch slavnostn\u00edch p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitostech, na festivalech, v showprogramech. Pravideln\u011b po\u0159\u00e1d\u00e1 koncerty v rodn\u00e9m Zl\u00edn\u011b.<\/p>\n

Orchestr je propag\u00e1torem nov\u00fdch\u00a0 skladeb sou\u010dasn\u00fdch skladatel\u016f. Jeho reperto\u00e1r je \u0161irok\u00fd. Hraje lidov\u00e9 p\u00edsn\u011b, operetn\u00ed, opern\u00ed a muzik\u00e1lov\u00e9 \u00fapravy. Na programu m\u00e1 ov\u0161em tak\u00e9 vysoce n\u00e1ro\u010dn\u00e9 koncertn\u00ed skladby,\u00a0 i symfonick\u00e9ho charakteru, jakou je nap\u0159\u00edklad Symfonie Il Flume od nizozemsk\u00e9ho skladatele A. Adriesena.<\/p>\n

S orchestrem spolupracuje velmi \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u011b i\u00a0 ma\u017eoretkov\u00e1 skupina, kterou zalo\u017eila Annamarie M\u011bd\u00edlkov\u00e1, a d\u00e1le Tane\u010dn\u00ed klub Ale\u0161e a Dany M\u011bd\u00edlkov\u00fdch. Ti tak\u00e9 vytv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed choreografie vystoupen\u00ed, kter\u00e1 v\u00fdznamnou m\u011brou p\u0159isp\u00edvaj\u00ed k popularit\u011b orchestru.<\/p>\n

Velk\u00fd dechov\u00fd orchestr a Hudebn\u00ed sdru\u017een\u00ed po\u0159\u00e1d\u00e1 ve Zl\u00edn\u011b pravideln\u011b od roku 1982\u00a0 ka\u017ed\u00fd sud\u00fd rok Mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed festival dechov\u00fdch a folklorn\u00edch soubor\u016f.<\/p>\n

Z\u0159izovatelem Velk\u00e9ho dechov\u00e9ho orchestru m\u011bsta Zl\u00edna je Hudebn\u00ed sdru\u017een\u00ed Zl\u00edn.<\/p>\n

The Big Brass Orchestra of the Town of Zl\u00edn ( Velk\u00fd dechov\u00fd Orchestr m\u011bsta Zl\u00edna )
\nwas founded in 1921 as Ba\u0165a Company orchestra . Its founder and first conductor was Mr. Josef Hla\u010f\u00e1\u010dek, former private driver of Tomas Ba\u0165a , owner of the company. He got his music education by military music corps in Yugoslavia.
\nAfter him followed others , for the orchestra important conductors like: Zd. Chalabala, J. Pej\u0161a, J. Hub, St. Plichta and A.Urbanovsky. Since 1977 started orchestra playing under conduction of Jaroslav B\u00edl\u00fd. In 2001 the second conductor Svetoslav To\u010dev joined the orchestra and he conducts it in these days.<\/p>\n

The band has caracter of big brass orchestra. In the time being play together 80 musicians,
\n3 women-singers and 2 singers- men. Since 1984 group of majorettes work together with orchestra. The head of this arts section is Ms. Dana M\u011bd\u00edlkov\u00e1 that coordinates the activities of 17 majorettes and 6 couples of dance.<\/p>\n

During its existence gained the band lot of significant success , in particular during the last 30 years. Since 1978 belongs permanently to leading orchestras in the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n

The Big Brass performs very often abroad, all the time with big success. Its music is well known in many European countries. Many invitation that come every year to the orchestra confirm success of concerts and the popularity of Moravian musicians. The long lasting quality of performances is confirmed as well by various awords of the band.<\/p>\n

In the national competitions in the Czech Republic belonged the Zlin orchestra all the time to
\nthe best and prized orchestras in the Czech Republic. An extraordinary success was reached at the World Competition in the Dutch town of Kerkrade in 1985, where the band got two victories : the gold medaile for concert performance and the second one for the march competition. Another valuable prize is main prize – Gold Lyre- won in the town of Vichy \u2013France , furthermore all main awords coming from Paris \u2013 Epinay sur Seine, Izegem – Belgium , Koszeg in Hungary , etc. Orchestra takes part in various festive occassions, performs in show-programmes and festivals and helds regularly concerts in native town of
\nZlin.<\/p>\n

Orchestra promotes new compositions written by contemporary composers. Its repertoir contains folk songs, opera , light opera and musical compositions modified for brass band. The band has as well on programm concert compositions with a very high degree of difficulty , as e.g. Symfony Il Fiume , written by A,Adriensen ( Netherland).<\/p>\n

Orchestra has succesfull cooperation with the group of majorettes founded by Mrs. A. M\u011bd\u00edl-
\nkov\u00e1 and with the Ale\u0161 and Dana M\u011bd\u00edlek Dance Club. They create the choreography of per-
\nformances that contributes very much to the orchestra\u00b4 s popularity.<\/p>\n

The Big Brass Orchestra and the Music Association organize in even years the International
\nFestival of Brass Bands and Folklor Ensembles.<\/p>\n
